What better way to be the first to walk the new causeway bridge, than doing it for a community-wide cause. This Saturday September 24 is the time to do it.

The 7th Annual Bridge Walk is presented by the Causeway Family of Dealerships and is "in support of the future leaders in our community."

The supporters of the event include JettyThe Van Dyk Group, and The Old Causeway Steak & Oyster House. All proceeds will benefit The Jetty Rock Foundation.

The profits will be distributed by the foundation to the following local schools: Stafford Schools, Southern Regional School District, Beach Haven School, LBI Consolidated School District, and All Saints Regional Catholic School.

It costs $10.00 to walk the Causeway and $25.00 to walk and receive a t-shirt.

Pre-registration will begin Friday September 23 at the Jetty Flagship Store (509 North Main Street, Manahawkin) from 10:00 a.m - 7:00 p.m. You will be able to sign up and pick up your t-shirt and wristbands instead of doing it on the morning of the walk.

If you can't make it on Friday you can register the day of the event at 8:30 a.m. at The Old Causeway Steak & Oyster House (1201 East Bay Avenue, Manahawkin).
