Thanksgiving not Store Going

Let me start by saying that as Larry Kudlow would say, “I believe in Free Market Capitalism”. My concern is that we have allowed ourselves to get caught up in a way that is not healthy for us. We have a national holiday set aside to give thanks for what we have been blessed with and we want to make it an opportunity to get more of what we don’t need. Here on the northeast coast many people recently lost many of their possessions. When you drive alongLong Beach BlvdonLong BeachIslandand see the mounds of debris at the curbside you realize how bad things are and you see other areas that have been harder hit. I would still hope that come tomorrow, these folks along with the rest of the country will pause and be thankful. For those that believe in God and acknowledge He is the provider of all things, give Him the praise He is due. Realize that you came into the world with nothing and you will not take anything with you when you die. I wonder if the stores would still open if no one showed up to buy the merchandise?

If you are reading this, there is something in your life worth giving thanks for, please pause, think about it and take the time to give thanks. Happy Thanksgiving.
