Nike and their most expensive shoe

Nike has been a household name for many years Jordan, Tiger and now James. Nike has upgraded their latest shoe to include basketball great Lebron James. Nike, a brand that every kid wants just came out with what is considered "their most expensive shoe", $315 retail, WOW!

This is great for the comapn if it sells, which I'm sure it will. Where is everyone going to get the money? These sneakers are as much as a car payment now. This is a bit over the top to me, but I'm not buying them. Most times a shoe of this magnitude is only purchased as a fashion statement, no one actually runs or plays basketball in them, their too expensive to ruin.

If this is a sign that the economy is picking up then that's great, but if people are not paying their car payment in order to buy sneakers thats not good. In this economic climate I'm surprised Nike decided on such an expensive line. I would have thought just the opposite, that would have come up with something less expensive then their average, and try to appeal & sell it to many more americans. Thats just my opinion.
