Newest Lifeguard Named EMILY

If you haven't seen EMILY, Emergency Integrated Lifesaving Lanyard. She is a remote controlled unit that a lifeguard can "drive" out to the person/s in trouble faster than they could swim. They say the typical person needs 15-17lbs of buoyancy to keep their head above water, EMILY has 80lbs, meaning she could help about 4-5 people at the same time. I wonder if this will be used as a secondary and not the primary tool for saving a persons life. If you want to see it in action, here is the YouTube video

Now that the beaches are open, please be careful and only swim where there is a lifeguard present.
