NCAA Basketball Championship Games Set

Well we made it out of March Madness and are all set for the NCAA Men’s & Women’s basketball championship games.

The Duke Blue Devils will face the Wisconsin Badgers tonight. Duke made past Michigan State while Wisconsin broke the undefeated streak of Kentucky. Both Duke and Wisconsin are number one seeds in the tournament. While it’s not the match up I was hoping for, I feel it will be a very good and close game. Prediction: coin toss, my heart says Wisconsin, my head says Duke.

For the women, who play tomorrow night (April 7th), it will be a matchup between Notre Dame and Connecticut. Notre Dame won a fantastic game on a great offensive play and defensive stand in the finals seconds of the game over South Carolina. Connecticut pulled away from Maryland. Like the men, both teams are number one seeds. Also like the men, this should be a good game. Prediction: edge to Connecticut but would not be surprised if Notre Dame pulls it out.

This year, in my opinion, the fans are the winners seeing some great basketball already played with the best yet to come. It is times like this when it’s a shame that only one team gets to be called champions.
