Long Beach Island Chowderfest Weekend Events

Come rain or shine!! Chowderfest weekend is upon us and, although the weather may not be perfect, the fun goes on!  On Saturday, Oct 1 from 10am to 5pm over 80 vendors offer great end-of-season deals at the Merchant Mart behind Bay Village.  On Sunday the Chowder Cook-Off Classic runs from 11am-4pm and includes unlimited chowder tasting, live music, children's entertainment and a food court.  On Saturday from 12-8pm, the Beach Haven Firehouse also hosts their annual fundraising event next to the firehouse.  This includes food, bands throughout the day, kids activities and more.  There is also a half price token sale at the Fantasy Island Arcade in Beach Haven. If you prefer to stay a little north this weekend, the Firefly Castle Gallery in Surf City is hosting its annual Art Fest starting at noon on Sunday.  And if that's not enough, there is a vintage car and truck show Saturday 10am-2pm at the nearby Tuckerton Seaport and race fans can meet Tyler Truex at the Eagleswood Country Fair and Craft Show on Saturday from 10am til noon.  So come and enjoy some good company (and some great sales!) regardless of the weather.
