Fun And Great Food Tuckerton Seaport Seafood Festival June 21 And 22nd

This is a great event with great food, great music and a full weekend of fun! From their website… Some of the area’s best musicians and the best seafood Barnegat Bay has to offer will be found at the Tuckerton Seaport this weekend. It’s time for the 22nd annual Baymen’s Seafood and Music Festival, Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Enjoy ‘Jersey Fresh’ clams, crabs, scallops and shrimp from local seafood purveyors including Laughing Crab, Zinna’s Bistro, Jersey Bill’s and hand-crafted brews supplied by River House Brewery. Shop for gifts and souvenirs from dozens of unique vendors and all the while listen and dance to the music from local favorites: The Mott’s Creek Pickers on Saturday and The Billy Walton Band on Sunday. Family activities include decoy carving demonstrations, boat rides, boat builders, face painting and miniature golf. Commercial fishermen will give talks on clamming, fishing and oystering and you can take a clam shucking class courtesy of Parsons Seafood. The Sea Grant Consortium rain barrels art display will be at the Seaport both days. The rain barrels promote stewardship of the bay and are painted by South Jersey artists. Bring the whole family and plan to spend the day. This event has been selected as one of the Best Outdoor Festivals by New Jersey Monthly magazine and is presented by the Jersey Shore Folklife Center. Music and festival events are included in the general admission: $8 adults, $6 seniors, $5 children 6 to 12, under 5 free. Food is extra. The Tuckerton Seaport and Baymen’s Museum is located at 120 West Main St. in Tuckerton.
