December Christmas Events at St. Mary’s Manahawkin
Dated: November 23 2011
Once again we are preparing our annual Christmas Book. We are accepting entries of jokes, stories, original writings and poems. Submissions should not be too long and, of course, appropriate for the parish to read. To allow time for printing, the deadline is November 28. Thank you.
Our annual Christmas Breakfast will take place on Sunday, December 4, 9:00am in the Parish Center. We will have our usual delicious breakfast buffet, and CHILDREN 10 AND UNDER ARE FREE! In addition to breakfast, the religious education program is sponsoring “Christmas stations” for the children and their families in the different rooms of the Parish Center. There will be a visit from Santa Claus and the opportunity to take family photos dressed in the clothes of the Holy Family.
There are still tickets available for the Christmas Concert with the Orchestra of St. Peter by the Sea. Father Alphonse is returning to conduct. The concert is Friday, December 16, 7:30pm, in St. Mary of the Pines. Seats are reserved by row and tickets are $28.00 per person. For information and sales, please call Dot Karabin at 698-4242. No tickets will be sold at the rectory and there are no refunds.
CHRISTMAS IN BETHLEHEM
St. Mary’s Religious Education Program is sponsoring their annual Christmas in Bethlehem Sunday, December 4, 10:00am – 12:00noon, in the Parish Center. You can have your picture taken at the manger with Jesus, celebrate Jesus’ birthday with cupcake and juice, see a puppet show, and make an ornament.
Music Ministry Christmas Concert
Friday, December 9th from 7:30 pm – 9 pm in St. Mary of the Pines.
St. Mary’s Decorating Committee needs volunteers to help in the decoration of our Churches for the Christmas Season. Please come and participate in making our Churches ready to greet the Christ Child. Able-bodied men are welcome! For more information or to volunteer, please call Rosine at 698-4145 or Dee at 698-5939.
