Busiest Year for Barnegat and Stafford Fire Departments

It was a record year for 2 of Ocean Counties fire companies. The Barnegat Fire Department ran 572 calls in the year 2012, while the Stafford Township Fire Department ran 866.

A large number of these calls were due to Super Storm Sandy.

Both departments are all volunteers who take time away from home, family and work to provide such a valiant and heroic service to our communities.  As the populations of these towns grow, so does the call volume for these departments.

Sending a very big THANK YOU to both departments and to all those volunteers who give so selfishly.  May 2013 be a safe and very quiet New Year!
