Barnegat Population Spikes

According to the U.S. Census, the population of Barnegat Township showed virtually no growth until exploding in the 1970s and 80s. Unlike most, the township kept booming. Since 2000, the number of people there has shot up by nearly 50 percent. Superstorm Sandy did little to slow growth.
