IT WILL NOW COST $250. TO GET MARRIED ON THE BEACH OR BAYFRONT GAZEBO IN Barnegat LIGHT, N.J.

BOROUGH COUNCIL AGREED TO PASS THE ORDINANCE REQUIRING A PERMIT. THE RULE PASSED UNANIMOUSLY AT COUNCIL'S MONTHLY MEETING MARCH 21ST. THE BOROUGH IS CURRENTLY THE ONLY ONE ON THE ISLAND CHARING A $250. FEE.

LONG BEACH ISLAND TOWNSHIP REQUIRES A "GATHERING PERMIT" FOR ANY GROUP OF 10 OR MORE PEOPLE USING THE BEACH FOR A GATHERING SUCH AS A WEDDING OR ANY KIND OF GET TOGETHER. THE FEE IS $50.

PROSPECTIVE COUPLES MIGHT WANT TO CHECK WITH THE TOWN WHERE THEY WANT TO GET MARRIED TO SEE IF THE MUNICIPALITY REQUIRES PERMITS OR PERMISSION.
