2018 Film Festival Housing Needed
Please contact me to discuss ways in which you can help provide housing for the many film professionals participating in this year's festival, June 7 - 10. Judy Seddon
609-492-1511 ext 1165Last year, over 6300 people attended the film festival with over 14000 followers on the social media platforms used to promote The Lighthouse International Film Festival. The festival takes place at various locations throughout Long Beach Island. Most notable are the viewing locations: LBI Foundation of Arts and Sciences, LBI Museum and The Surf City Firehouse. The festival organizers plan for various opportunities to meet the film makers and participants with the help of local businesses. Last year, Joe Pop's held breakfasts with the film makers, a panel discussion was held at the Arlington, and Daddy O held the Friday night party.
Many of the participants (film makers, directors, etc.) are in need of housing. If you find your home is available and would like to donate it's use, please contact me. I will be able to provide you with a festival in-kind donation form. Anytime you donate your home, it is a good idea to check with your accountant regarding the tax benefits for the in-kind contribution. If you are interested in donating your home, please keep in mind most of the attendees travel near and far and would be in need of owner supplied bedding, if possible. This is a great way to support special events on Long Beach Island that will help keep our community growing into a world class coastal living retreat.
