125 ANNIVERSARY FOR BEACH HAVEN

One of the Jersey Shores' favorite vacation locations will celebrate 125 years young on May 30. Named by Mrs. Farro; who's family beach house; Salt Air, still stands on 3rd street just east of the Library. And, getting its start in the 1870's and really blooming into a summer resort from the 1880s on into the 20th century; Beach Haven continues to be the vacation destination for thousands who have succumbed to the "lure of Long Beach Island." There will be open houses at several locations in the Queen City. Beach Haven Library 247 N. Beach Ave., New Jersey Maritime Museum 528 Dock Road, LBI Historical Museum 100 South Bay Ave, Beach Haven Fire Department and First Aid Squad 321 Engleside Ave., Beach Haven School 700 Beach Ave. and the ReClam the Bay offices at 420 Pelham Ave.
