Will New Jersey Be Hit By Another Hurricane Sandy

The easy and short answer is, No. But as Marisa Tomei said in “My Cousin Vinny”, “It’s a trick question”.  There are actually two aspects to the question. The first has no debate, they have retired Sandy from the list of names used for storms. The second is a little more complex and has some differing answers. The best way to get to the heart of it, is to ask, “Was Sandy a hurricane or a superstorm”? Technically, when it hit New Jersey, it lost the properties of a hurricane. What’s the point you may ask? Just bring awareness to this year’s season (June 1st – November 30th). The predictions are for 13-19 named storms, 6-9 hurricanes of which 3-5 are to be major. So far we’ve had 4 named storms. Here is the list for 2013:
