The other day heading into work I passed the new electronic billboard in Manahawkin and saw an ad from the Chamber of Commerce saying, “LBI-It’s Better In September”.
That got me to wondering about what is different in September. I know that the traffic lights are still functioning and the speed limits are the same. There are a lot less people around and most of the merchants and restaurants are still open. The retailers are looking to move their inventory by having sales. The places to stay usually have lower pricing. The air and water temperatures are still comfortable. The beach is still sandy. Is it really better in September? I guess you’ll have to stop by and find out for yourself. As to the secret, if I told you, then it wouldn’t be the best kept secret, would it? wink-wink.
