Thanksgiving A Time To

It’s been a year since I wrote about my thoughts on Thanksgiving. At that time, there were piles of trash along the roadways post Super Storm Sandy. I was concerned that we had allowed the meaning of the holiday to slip away from us. I’m a bit more reflective after the recent passing of my mother in law. It appears that this year we may be slipping further from the intent of the national holiday. I thought it would be fun to prepare a checklist for you to complete. Only you will see your answers, so be honest and mark all those that apply.

Thanksgiving, A time to:
a)      Work in the kitchen all day only to feel unappreciated, once again, at days end.
b)      Eat to the point where you need to undo the button on your pants.
c)      Watch the pro football games.
d)      Spend most of the day plotting your course to get the best deals Christmas gifts.
e)      Let another year slip by wondering how things are for someone you haven’t spoken with for a while.
f)        Thank God for all your blessings.
g)      Enjoy time with family and friends.

May you truly have a Happy Thanksgiving.
