ROSEMARY INFUSED OLIVE OIL POPCORN FAVORITE FIREHOUSE SNACK
What you will need:
1. 2 cups olive oil
2. 3-4 sprigs of fresh rosemary
3. Your favorite popcorn kernels. We prefer Orville Redenbachers.
4. Sea salt
To infuse the flavor of the rosemary into the olive oil, put the 2 cups of oil in a saucepan along with the sprigs of rosemary. Heat the oil on a very low flame and allow the oil to simmer for 15-20 mins. Allow oil to cool before putting into container.
When ready for popcorn, add oil to bottom of pot. Add enough oil to cover just the bottom of the pot. If you add to much oil the popcorn will be soggy. Add enough kernels to cover the bottom of the pot. Cover pot and turn on high heat. Once kernels start to pop, shake the pot occasionally until popping subsides. Put popcorn in large bowl and season with sea salt to taste. If the flavor of the oil is not strong enough you can always drizzle more oil on popcorn. Shake it all up and enjoy!!
