March Madness Final Fours

As I begin, I must say that I do not follow college basketball during the regular season. I do however enjoy the tournaments. While there are Cinderella’s from time to time, it seems as if the clock usually strikes midnight by the final four. The cream rises to the top over the process of elimination. I do not put together a bracket. I’m amazed at the amount of time during work that it spent following the games as well as time taken off. The cost of lost productivity is huge. Companies now throw parties during the day for the employees to watch. I guess if you can’t beat them join them. Half a day of productivity is better than none. Well, now we sit poised for another championship round. For the men: Kentucky vs, Louisville & Ohio St vs. Kansas. Their seeds are 1,4,2 & 2 respectively. Kentucky seems to be the favorite. On the women’s side, all the top seeds made it though; Baylor vs. Stanford & U Conn vs. Notre Dame. Baylor seems to be the favorite here. While I have teams that I’d like to see win, I enjoy the competition and athleticism at this point. If you are a nut and have your bracket by your side, I’m preaching to the choir. If you are like me and don’t follow college hoops that closely, I’d suggest you take some time to watch the games. And this year, maybe because of it being leap year, March Madness will spill over into April Insanity. Enjoy.
