Do you know about the teal pumpkin?
Many parents are looking to an alternative to sweet treats at Halloween, especially if your child has food allergies. By displaying a teal pumpkin at your front door, you’re letting your visitors know you have alternative “treats” such as stickers, glow sticks, crayons, etc. for the little goblins that can’t eat the candy. Happy Halloween!
As we approach November on LBI, there is a certain serenity that encompasses the island. Traffic lights are off, many businesses have closed for the season and of course, there are fewer visitors on the streets. But there is still plenty to do: the LBI Surf Fishing Contest is still going on; St. Francis Holiday Bazaar is scheduled for 11/19; LBI Foundation of the Arts & Sciences is holding a Night Market & Holiday Exhibit on Saturday, 11/26, a sparkly nighttime market with vendors, fire pits, carolers & Santa, himself!
Long Beach Island is a great place to “stroll” in the off season. The beach is beautiful any time of the year. Just last week, dolphins and 3 whales were observed making their way south. It doesn’t get any better than that!
If you’re interested in being a part of these great local activities, maybe it’s time you considered owning your own piece of LBI. To begin your search, click here.
