In the wake of Hurricane Sandy and disputes with the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce over recovery efforts, a group of local LBI business owners and the mayor of Long Beach Township championed the formation of a new chamber of commerce better suited to promotion of the LBI area. Enclosed is a copy of their first newsletter!
The LBI Chamber of Commerce exists for the purpose
of stimulating and promoting tourism and commerce
on Long Beach Island through the deployment of
strategic marketing endeavors and other networking
Accomplish of our mission via the following four efforts: targeted marketing in print, digital, TV, radio,
and other formats deemed effective; the raising of
funds to accomplish task #1 through events and
other endeavors deemed effective; support of private
charitable and civic initiates designed to enhance life
on LBI; provide a platform for members to exchange
