Whether you’re vacationing on Long Beach Island or even if you just live near Southern Ocean County, during the second week of August, you should make a point of visiting the Festival of the Sea Carnival at St. Francis Parish on Long Beach Island. The Festival of the Sea Carnival has been an annual event on L.B.I. for over 25 years, to the enjoyment of many adults and kids alike. It’s also a major fundraiser for the parish community. The six nights of fun begin Tuesday, August 9th to Sunday, August 14th from 6:00pm to 10:30pm nightly (weather permitting) and will take place at St Francis Parish parking lot, 4700 Long Beach Blvd. Brant Beach, NJ The festival is a great place to bring the family and offers something for all ages. There are rides for every age and size. They also offer a separate area just for “kiddie” rides. Every night is a “Pay One Price” night, per person to ride all the rides, all night long. They also offer many games of chance and skill for all ages. Games include the Frog Bog, Water Gun and many, many more. There’s also a huge progressive 50/50 worth thousands! Last but not least, you can savor all your carnival food favorites. So don’t forget to mark your calendar and come out have some fun, at this years Festival of the Sea Carnival. For more info, you can call the Parish center at 609-494-8861. Jim Mazzerina
